Membership Script

We are in the process of developing a Membership Script that will allow clubs to handle their membership online as well as providing the club with a way to provide online information that is only available to members.

You can obtain a free copy of this script for your club once the script is finished.

All you need to do now is to provide us with information now on what your club's requirements for the script would be so that we can build the script so that it will be useful to as many clubs as possible and help us test that the script works. Simply provide information on how your club is structured, what types of memberships you have, your membership reporting requirements and how you currently handle renewals so that we can build the appropriate functionality into the membership script to handle your club's way of processing memberships.

To give you some idea of what sorts of information we are looking for, the script that we currently have which is our starting point for this development has the following:

• Structure: Committee that runs the club and branches each with their own committee - so the script has provission for the following access levels: locked (to lock out a member if required), normal, privileged (allowing individual screen accesses to be defined), branch, frederal, membership registrar, and administrator.
• Membership Types: senior, senior with family, student, paid life, reciprocal, honorary, honorary life, honorary family.
• Reporting includes a number of different membership list variants that can be selected by those with branch committee access or higher. Those on branch committees only have access to their branches membership in the reports while those with higher access can get reports on all members. Labels can also be produced with similar criteria. Reports of membership counts by branch and type of membership are also available with historical data being kept on a monthly basis.
• Renewals: for one or three years with two months grace after the due date for late renewals and then a further two months in which resigned members can rejoin at a reduced rate.

Of course we'll need a bit more detail than that to be able to incorporate your requirements into the script that we are writing butr if you provide that level of detail when you intitially contact us to get your club's name added to the list of those who are to get a free copy of the finished script then we will be in touch to ask for the additional information that we need in order to be able to get the script to handle your requirements.

While we understand the need for you to get permission from your club to sign up for this offer, please don't delay too long if you want to become involved as the sooner you get involved, the more likely it is that we will be able to incorporate your requirements into the script.

All information supplied to us by a club will be used soley for the purpose of ensuring that the script we are writing will be able to handle their specific needs and will not be used for any other purpose. The involvement of any club in providing information will be kept confidential unless we are specifically requested to advertise that a particular club is involved. We reserve the right to withdraw this offer at any time and make no guarantee that any particular clubs entire list of requirements will be available in the finished script.

Once we have a version of the script built that incorporates as many of the requirements as is practical we will provide access so that you can help to test the script.

Once complete the script will be available for installation on your own hosting and will also be available as a hosted script on my site. The hosted version will involve a monthly (or annual) fee to cover both support for the script and provision of the hosting. This free offer applies specifically to the copy available to install on your own server and will include instructions to assist you to install the script. No support will be provided for this free copy once the script is released (you will have your chance to report all of the errors and needed alterations during the testing phase).

For those who would prefer to have us host (and support) the script for them and who would like to be involved in the scripts development we will offer a reduction in the fee for the first year.
