Basic Web Site Packages

All prices given for a basic web site package consists of the following:

Creation

  • Discussions with you regarding the overall design of your website and creation of a web page template for your web pages that defines the standard page layout.
  • Conversion of content for the web site home page and up to five ten additional pages (as supplied by you) into web pages. This can be supplied either electronically or in a format suitable for scanning. There is an additional charge if the supplied material needs to be retyped.
  • Scanning of any images to be used on those web pages and optimization of those images.
  • Optimization of larger versions of any images that are linked to from any thumbnail images on your pages.
  • A copy of our "site search facility".
  • A copy of our "advanced email script" along with basic "Contact Us" and "Thankyou" pages.

Maintenance

  • Monthly updates to the web pages (as supplied by you). Updates not to exceed 20% of the content of any one page or 10% of the total static page content

Hosting

  • Hosting of the site with a third party hosting service of our choice.
  • Initial Registration of your domain name. (Renewals of the domain name will be charged at cost).

Standards and Sizes

All static web pages created will be validated to ensure that they comply with the W3C coding standards and that they are usable on at least the following browsers: IE 8, Firefox 3.5, Safari 4, and Opera 9.5.

In order to ensure that the web pages that we create will load quickly and efficiently and will be read by as many visitors as possible we have placed the following limits on how big web pages that we create can be and all of our pricing assumes the following limits on web page sizes.

  • Each web page when printed will fit completely on no more that three A4 sheets of paper.
  • The web page and all attached images, scripts, etc. is no more than 80k in total file size. Files shared between pages shall be included in the total size for each page (except in the rare instance where it is impossible for your visitor to access the page without first visiting another page that uses the file).
  • Image gallery pages shall have 50 or fewer thumbnail images with larger copies attached.
